Rob Paulsson, CEO
Mr. Paulsson serves as the Chief Executive Officer of MedPricer and is a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Paulsson began his career focusing on financial processes and internal controls as an auditor with Arthur Andersen followed by work as a case team leader at global consulting firm Bain & Company where he developed specific expertise in a number of supply chain processes and organizational IT strategy. Starting in 2004 Mr. Paulsson served as Vice President of the Healthcare division of recovery audit leader PRGX where he led the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) demonstration on behalf of CMS serving as its first Program Director. In 2006 he joined hospital margin improvement company MedAssets where he started off working on expanding and strengthening the cost savings capabilities of MedAssets' industry-leading group purchasing organization (GPO.) In 2008 Mr. Paulsson was promoted to President of MedAssets Decision Support, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MedAssets that makes decision support software used in more than 700 hospitals across the US and Canada. In 2011 Mr. Paulsson founded Brookside Group, a healthcare IT procurement firm dedicated to helping health systems obtain the technology resources they need while effectively managing the overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO.) Mr. Paulsson holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA.) He earned his MBA in Strategic Management from The Wharton School of Business.
Les Grant, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer
Mr. Grant is the Chief Strategy Officer and Founder of MedPricer, and is a member of its Board of Directors. He is responsible for formulating growth strategies and generating business partnerships. Before founding MedPricer, Mr. Grant held various leadership roles at Corometrics, Siemens and Oxford Instruments. After over 20 years in healthcare management positions negotiating contracts, Mr. Grant decided to found MedPricer, a company that would help hospitals, IDNs and suppliers streamline the contracting process. He began his business career with Abbott Laboratories, after teaching in Newark, NJ and at The School for the Foreign Born in Elizabeth, NJ. Mr. Grant holds a Bachelor's Degree from Seton Hall University. He is a member of AHRMM and the HFMA.
Les Grant Jr., Co-Founder/Advisor
Les founded MedPricer with his father, Les Grant Sr., in 2005. He served as VP Sales for two years, helping to establish MedPricer's network of leading Health Systems across the US. He then served as Chief Operations Officer for five years, developing MedPricer's portfolio of onsite services and project management team, as well as overseeing development of MedPricer's proprietary e-sourcing platform. He also created MedPricer's Clinical Sourcing Group and Government Sourcing Initiative. He left the company to pursue other opportunities in 2012, and currently serves as an Advisor to the Board of Directors. He lives in New York City, where he writes and lectures on entrepreneurship, and is a member of the Founder's Roundtable.
James Bouchard, Director of Sourcing Operations
James has served as the Director of Sourcing Operations for MedPricer for the past two years, and has been employed by the organization for the past five. James is responsible for the delivery of all sourcing initiatives within purchased services, capital equipment, and medical/surgical contracts. James also directs our New Facility Construction Division and has lead the sourcing process for 5 major hospital construction projects. His background in the legal field allows him to apply his expertise in contracting to the healthcare sector. James holds a BA in Political Science and Business Administration from Marist College.
